Blessing of Animals 2024
Ascension Episcopal Church held their Annual Blessing of the Animals on Saturday, October 7. Fourteen pets were blessed by The Reverend Jeannette Pillsbury at the church's front lawn. Each pet was given a St. Francis of Assisi pendant. The Reverend Pillsbury then went to the Humane Society of Amherst to bless all 77 animals housed there. Thank you to the Humane Society of Amherst County for their partnership to make this event a success! Thank you to the following sponsors for their donations to our silent auction: Camp Merricks, Sheila's Pet Grooming, and Divine Darlings Pet Grooming. Over $400 was raised for the Humane Society of Amherst County.
Regular Activities
The Reverend Jeannette Pillsbury, our priest for pastoral care, is available in the Parish Hall each Tuesday. Contact her by email for specific hours.
The men’s breakfast meets every Friday morning in the Parish Hall. Coffee call at 7:30 a.m., breakfast at 8 a.m. Bible study at 8:30 a.m. Contact Kinny Kinnier for information.
Our centering prayer group welcomes everyone. We meet virtually on Saturdays at 8 a.m. Contact Dena Lee for information.

Women's Bible Study group meets on Wednesdays at 11 a.m. in the Parish Hall. For more information, contact Zoe Rogers.
